Established in 1872, Buford has been around for a pretty long time. Originally, Buford started as a railway stop for trains going on the route between Atlanta and Charlotte. Located in Gwinnett County, about 25 miles north of Atlanta. In Buford’s early days, it was known for its highly productive leather industry. These companies help to stimulate a strong and thriving economy in the Buford area.
